Transparent bonnet
Manoeuvre confidently and avoid obstacles safely - even in rough terrain: this function makes the bonnet transparent for you when driving off-road. A virtual view, calculated from camera images, shows the area directly in front of your Mercedes. In addition, a visualisation of the lane helps to choose the optimal driving path.
Digital Extra: Smartphone Integration
Smartphone integration wirelessly connects the mobile phone to the MBUX multimedia system via Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. This gives you convenient access to the most important apps on your smartphone. You can also use apps from third-party providers such as Spotify quickly and easily. The use of some Digital Extras requires the permanent acceptance of the Terms of Use for Digital Extras and the Mercedes me ID Terms of Use as amended, the permanent linking of the vehicle with the Mercedes-Benz user account, the consent to the storage and retrieval of information necessary for the activation of some Digital Extras in the linked vehicle and – where applicable – the activation of the Digital Extras. At the end of limited terms, Digital Extras can be extended for a fee in the Mercedes-Benz Store, provided they are still available for the vehicle in question at that time. First activation of the services is possible within 1 year from initial registration or initial operation by the customer, whichever occurs first. In addition, there may be further usage requirements or restrictions for the use of some Digital Extras, such as a separate customer contract with a third-party provider (e.g. streaming, conclusion of a data contract for "comfort data volume") or selected products from third-party providers (e.g. smartphone, smartwatch). As an alternative to "Comfort data volume", the customer's own data volume (e.g. mobile hotspot) must be used, depending on the generation of your multimedia system. Information on personal data processed for the use of Digital Extras can be found in the Privacy Policy for Digital Extras. Connection of the communication module to the mobile phone network, including Mercedes-Benz emergency call system, depends on the respective network coverage and availability of network providers. Please also observe any instructions in the Owner's Manual for your vehicle.
Fingerprint sensor
With the fingerprint scanner you unlock access to your personal data. These include profiles or even payment functions. Touching the colour-illuminated button is a quick and convenient way to identify yourself. This is secure and also more straightforward than entering a PIN.
Sound personalisation
A digital set-up wizard works with you to determine your music preferences and adjusts the Burmester® sound system to your wishes. It stores the result in a personal profile. This way you can easily achieve your perfect sound setup.
Digital Extra: Extended MBUX functions
The MBUX extended functions are completely customised to you. Say "Hey Mercedes" - MBUX then waits for your wishes and learns thanks to the online connection. Personal profiles and predictive functions completely redefine what digital networking means. The components marked with * are Digital Extras. To use them, a personal Mercedes me ID and acceptance of the terms of use for the Digital Extras and smart control Services are required. In addition, the respective vehicle must be paired with the user account. Upon expiry of the initial term of three years, Digital Extras can be renewed for a fee, provided they are still offered for the corresponding vehicle at that point. Initial activation of the services is possible within 1 year of initial registration or commissioning by the customer, whichever comes first. Connection of the communication module to the mobile phone network, including Mercedes-Benz emergency call system, depends on the respective network coverage and availability of network providers.
Headup Display
The head-up display transforms your windscreen into a digital cockpit. With the virtual image, you always have important information directly in view. Your full attention remains on the road and the traffic in front of you.
Digital radio
Digital radio offers you even more information and entertainment with significantly more programmes. Select your own favourite station. At the same time the clear, interference-free reception enhances listening pleasure. The use of some Digital Extras requires the permanent acceptance of the Terms of Use for Digital Extras and the Mercedes me ID Terms of Use as amended, the permanent linking of the vehicle with the Mercedes-Benz user account, the consent to the storage and retrieval of information necessary for the activation of some Digital Extras in the linked vehicle and – where applicable – the activation of the Digital Extras. Additional USB ports
With a total of 7 USB ports, you and your passengers can easily charge mobile devices. In addition, the ports allow you to connect the devices with your vehicle and control them.

With 13 speakers and a system output of 590 watts, you can enjoy the legendary Burmester® sound. The high-performance speakers deliver first-class surround sound. You can optimise this specifically for the front and rear seats to make your listening experience even more intense.
Widescreen cockpit
The widescreen cockpit with two 12.3-inch displays transforms information into a fully digital viewing experience. The desired content can be positioned individually and a host of functions controlled intuitively thanks to touch technology. To do this, you can choose from 8 contexts.

With just a simple hand movement your smartphone is fixed in place in the oddments tray where it is charged wirelessly. Regardless of model and brand, Qi-compatible mobile devices charge wirelessly.
